MIAMI DOLPHINS YOUTH TEAMS OF THE WEEK

BY MARJORIE ACOSTA

(September 2, 2011) – As the Miami Dolphins gear up for their last pre-season game against the Dallas Cowboys, the Olinda Park Bulls and the North Miami Beach Sun Devils Pee Wee Teams gear up as well. Both teams were selected as this week’s Miami Dolphin’s Game of the Week. Along with their coaches, both teams led the pre-game tunnel paving the way for the Miami Dolphins to hit the gridiron.

The Pee Wee’s must have been good luck because the Dolphins were up 7-3 at the half. After watching the pro’s for the first half, our tiny (but mighty) athletes were ready for their exhibition game. The fans at Sun Life Stadium were on their feet as the Sun Devils and the Bulls showed everyone that even though their uniforms are small, their drive for the game is as big as any pro offensive lineman.

The Olinda Park Bulls come to us from the NYFL and the North Miami Beach Sundevils represent the Miami-Dade Xtreme Football League. This dual league match up ended in a tie as both teams got a touch down each.

We caught with both teams after the big game. Both Coach Sham of the Sun Devils and Coach Williams of the Bulls said they were grateful for the opportunity to showcase their teams’ talents while giving these kids an experience they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.
