Miami Dolphins Special Teams Give Back On Martin Luther King Day.

As a tribute to one of the best leaders, innovators and activists— the Miami Dolphins Special teams driven by Chevy, lend a helping hand to beautify the Northwest Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade.

“It shows the kids that we care about them, and that they are important in the community,” staff assistant Ana Kucera said, “It’s a great way for kids to interact with nature and to see a caterpillar turn into a butterfly.”

The Northwest Boys & Girls club was around since 1953, and during that span helped millions of kids and parents find a home outside a home.

“This means a whole lot; it shows the kids that they have someone who cares about them.” director of Boys & Girls club director Kenny Wilcox said.”

23 volunteers joined hand in hand to renovate the Club by; painting the picnic area teal and orange (Miami Dolphins colors), planting a new garden, and turning the backyard into a beautiful butterfly scenery.
“We are very grateful when we have companies like the Miami Dolphins come out and help for the community,” Director of operations for the Boys and Girls Club Rachel Fernandez said, “This is a place for the kids to come and feel safe and parents to feel relief that the kids are in a safe environment.”

The four hour project brought happiness to a retire AT&T worker Caron Romain, who spent the last 30 years as a technician.

“It helps the younger youth, and it shows them that we care about them.” said Romain

Not only were their retire workers, but the youth came out as young as nine years old to help the community that he interacts with on a daily basis.

“I just like working, pulling leaves, raking and helping,” Kaleb Downes said.”(Kaleb at PPO)

Miami Dolphins Special Teams will continue to contribute to the communities across Miami-Dade and Broward County, and will extend a helping hand to build the very foundation of the South Florida community.
