The West Kendall Dolphins 14U Win In OT

This past Saturday, there was three undefeated 14 & under teams remaining in the Xtreme Youth Football League. Two of those three teams would face each other for a thriller in McMillan Park!

The Hialeah Cougars came into the match up 5-0, and enjoyed the fact they were defending Orange Bowl Champions the previous year, on a younger age division.

The Dolphins, also 5-0, entered the match up knowing they needed to defend their home field and securing a win would help them tie for first place with the Kendall Hammocks Warriors in the Xtreme divisional standings.

The game kicked off in the late afternoon, with majority of the game being a defensive battle. Generation Nexxt camera crews was on site, capturing every tackle and catch from beginning to end.

The game ended in regulation 8-8, the Hialeah Cougars and West Kendall Dolphins, ready for overtime.

The Dolphins wasted no time, and punched in a score behind their dynamic running back, #6 Darren Davis, going up 14-8. Hialeah was given an opportunity to tie the game in overtime, but the Dolphins’ defense would not have any of that.

West Kendall’s defense stood up in the paint when it most counted, stopping the Cougars from crossing the goal line, winning in overtime, 14 to 8.

West Kendall 14U team remains undefeated in the Xtreme Youth Football League, and they are looking forward to matching up against the undefeated Kendall Hammocks Warriors.
